The Richey
survey focuses upon evaluating and interpreting service performance,
and is conducted at Hilton International hotels worldwide. Richey
International Benchmarking Standards are used across the entire
globe in over 1500 hotels annually. These standards form the
basis for global competitor analysis and provide additional
details that might not be found elsewhere, for example, in areas
of food quality, detail cleaning and staff behaviour.
The Richey criteria are applied equally and without regard to
local conditions and economic reference, thereby providing clear
and objective measurements over time, a “gold standard”
if you will. Each standard is characterised by type of behaviour
or result. For example, “Staff smiles or makes pleasant
expression” is characterised as a Courtesy standard. “Coasters
and napkins clean and neat” is characterised as a Cleanliness
standard.
By identifying and investigating the types of behaviour that
are most challenging, direct actions and training steps can
be implemented by the respective hotel. |
