Managing Director of the Hirdaramani Group, Ranil also holds Directorships at Associate Companies, Windforce (Pvt) Ltd, Renewgen (Pvt) Ltd and Star Packaging (Pvt) Ltd.
He is a Non Executive Director of Sampath Bank, Alumex PLC, Ambeon Capital PLC, Ceylon Hotels Corporation and BPPL Holdings PLC.
He has extensive experience in finance and management in financial, apparel/manufacturing and energy sectors.
He is a Fellow member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK (FCMA) and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Sri Jayawardenapura.
Beginning his career at the Hirdaramani Group in 1993, Vinod has been instrumental in the growth of the business over the years as a Director of the Group focusing on the Knit facilities in Sri Lanka & Vietnam. He also worked on the expansion of the Hirdaramani Group, spearheading its extension into the renewable energy sector. Vinod is a member of the Young Presidents Organization where he functions as the Education Chair.
He was educated at the Harrow School in the UK and holds a BA Degree from the Northwestern University in the US.
Nikhil joined the group in 1997 and was initially involved in the marketing and operation of the woven apparel business; today he oversees the sustainability initiatives of the group. At present he serves as Vice Chair of the Sustainable Apparel Coalition and on the advisory council of the British Asian Trust. Nikhil is a founding board member of the Entrepreneurs Organisation (EO) in Sri Lanka and chairs the EO Global committee for Executive Education. Previously he has also has been on the board of Sedex and the American Chamber of Commerce, Sri Lanka.
Nikhil has a BA in International Relations from Tufts University USA and a MBA from Imperial College UK.
A Director of the Hirdaramani Group, Aroon began his career as an analyst in investment banking at Credit Suisse in New York prior to moving to the Hirdaramani Group in 2003. At Hirdaramani he has been instrumental in the evolution of the Groups apparel business and its persistent development as a model for operational distinction and environmental sustainability.
Aroon is a Member of the Young Presidents' Organization, where he serves as the Membership Chair for the Sri Lankan Chapter. He is also Chairman of the Future Leaders Committee of the Sri Lanka Joint Apparel Association Forum. He holds a BA in Business Economics from Brown University.
A Director of the Hirdaramani Group, Rakhil joined the company in 2005 and is responsible for its knit facilities across Sri Lanka and Vietnam; he has been instrumental in the Group’s expansion into the IT Services sector. In 2017 Rakhil was selected as Chairman of The World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry (WFSGI) Manufacturers Committee and he is also a Member of the Young Presidents' Organization, where he serves as the Integration Chair for the Sri Lankan Chapter. He is a member of the Young Leaders Committee of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and a member of the World Federation of Sporting Goods Industry.
Rakhil was educated at Winchester College UK and holds a BA International Business from the European Business School.
Siddarth joined the Board of the Hirdaramani Group in 2011. He oversees the strategy and business development functions of the Group’s Knit apparel manufacturing in Sri Lanka, Vietnam and Ethiopia. He is also responsible for the Group's retail expansion and investment strategy. Prior to joining the Hirdaramani Group, he worked as a financial analyst at Permal Asset Management, a boutique fund of hedge funds, in New York.
Siddarth holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations from Georgetown University and a Masters in Business Administration from INSEAD.
A Director of the Hirdaramani Group, Akshay joined the company in 2011 and oversees its woven facilities across Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. He has also been instrumental in the Group’s expansion into the Financial Services sector. Prior to joining Hirdaramani he worked as a consultant at Deloitte MCS in London.
Akshay was educated at Winchester College UK and holds a BSc Management from London School of Economics

Managing Director Hirdaramani Knits Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Ethiopia
Managing Director of Hirdaramani Knits Sri Lanka, Vietnam and Ethiopia, Madhawa is an apparel industry specialist with a focus on marketing and general management. His 20+ year career has seen him work in apparel sourcing destinations across Asia including Vietnam, India, Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka as well as Africa. An expert in the wholesale apparel industry with extensive experience dealing with leading retailers in the USA and EU, Madhawa leverages his keen understanding of the newest sourcing strategies, reducing time to market and Lean concepts to deliver exceptional results to customers.
He holds a MBA from RMIT University, Australia, a MSc in Marketing from the University of Glamorgan, UK and is a Member of the Charted Institute of Marketing (MCIM) – UK
Managing Director Hirdaramani Bangladesh
Starting his career at KPMG in 1987, Ajith moved to Aitken Spence in 1988 starting in Internal Audit through and moving into the Thread Manufacturing, Insurance and Printing divisions, rapidly rising through the ranks to become Chief Accountant in the Printing Cluster. In 1992 he joined the financial services sector as a fund manager at CKN and moved into the apparel industry in 1996 as CFO of Bodyline, part of the MAS Group. Following 2 years as General Manager at Growth Lanka, he joined the Hirdaramani Group in 2000 as the CEO/Director to set up Kenpark Bangladesh. Today he runs both the Kenpark & Regency Clusters as Managing Director of Hirdaramani Bangladesh.
A Fellow member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK, Ajith was elected twice to CIMA national council while in Sri Lanka. Further he has also had extensive executive education in Management and Leadership from Harvard University, Wharton Business School, Michigan University and INSEAD.
